Youth shot dead by Israeli soldiers south of Hebron


HEBRON: A Palestinian youth was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces today at a junction to the south of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a young man inside his vehicle at the entrance of the town of Abda, south of Hebron, leaving him bleeding without providing any medical assistance until he died of his wounds.

The Ministry of Health said in a press statement that it has been informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs about the killing of the young man, identified as Amr Abdel Fattah Abu Hussein, near the town of Abda. The occupying Israeli military claimed that the young man attempted to run over a number of soldiers in the area.

Furthermore, occupation forces physically assaulted several journalists to prevent them from covering the incident, confiscating the journalists’ equipment and mobile devices.

ashhoor al-Wahwah, his colleague Ahmed Qazzaz, as well as journalists Montaser Nassar, and photographer Ahmed Amro.
