Workshop to launch Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2022-2023 results


A special workshop was held in Sana’a today ,Monday,to launch the results of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2022-2023, which was implemented by the Central office of Statistics in cooperation with the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UNICEF and relevant government agencies.

At the inauguration, the Undersecretary of the Central office of Statistics, Fares Al-Jahmi, stressed that the survey results are an important tool for providing basic information and indicators for policy-making and developing appropriate development plans in various topics such as health, education, energy, water and sanitation.

Undersecretary Al-Jahmi pointed to the challenges that faced the implementation of the survey in light of the aggression, the siege, and the difficult economic conditions that Yemen is going through, indicating that the survey covered all 22 Republic provinces .

Secretary-General of the National Population Council, Mutahar Zabara praised the efforts made to complete the survey, stressing the commitment of international organizations to support the human resources in Yemen as it is the basic pillar of development, in addition to cooperation between various partners in this context.

For their part, the Director of the Central office of Statistics in Ibb province, Yahya Al-Arami, and the Deputy Survey Coordinator, Tahani Saeed, touched on the importance of the survey, which began its implementation in 2017, in providing a large database, which includes many indicators and important information for country’s future .
