Weapons And Ammunition Found During Inspections Of Unlicensed Weapons In Baghdad

The Ministry of Interior announced, today, Wednesday, that weapons and equipment were found during inspections of unlicensed weapons in Baghdad.

The Ministry said in a statement: “As part of the ongoing security efforts of the Federal Police units aimed at confining weapons to the state to ensure the security and safety of citizens, their units, with the support of the intelligence unit, carried out inspections of unlicensed weapons in the areas of (Al-Wahda District, Al-Fadhiliyah, Al-Tameem District, Al-Asatetha District, and Sab’a Qusoor Districts, Al-Amil neighborhood, Diyala Bridge, Al-Hurriya, Al-Shuala), which resulted in the finding of 24 different types of rifles, 6 pistols, 18 different types of weapons magazines, 285 different types of weapons rounds, and other materials.”

It added, “All materials were seized and dealt with in the duly manner.”
