Mosul Nineveh River Police announced the drowning of two young men in the Tigris River south of Mosul.
A source in Nineveh Police told the National Iraqi News Agency /NINA/ that “two young men in their twenties drowned while swimming in the Tigris River at dawn today in the village of Al-Zawiya in al-Qayyarah district south of Mosul.”
The source added that “the river rescue found them hours after they drowned and handed their bodies over to the forensic medicine department in Mosul.”
