The Rapid Response Squad of the Ministry of Interior arrested two people wanted for drug trafficking in and seized a kilogram of crystal in their possession in Babylon Governorate.
The Ministry stated in a statement: ‘The leadership of the Rapid Response Division in the Ministry of the Interior continued its security operations to pursue members of the drug trade, use and promotion, and based on accurate intelligence information, the Third Regiment of the Second Rapid Response Brigade was able to arrest two wanted persons in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of drugs, and seized a kilogram of narcotics substances in their possession in Babylon Governorate.
It added: ‘This operation comes in partnership with the Directorate of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Babylon in coordination with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department, where the wanted persons and the seized items were handed over to the requested party.
