Two Palestinian youth shot, moderately injured during clashes in Jericho

Two Palestinian youth were shot and injured today evening during clashes with Israeli forces in the Ein al-Sultan camp, in Jericho city, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA clashes broke out between Palestinian residents and Israeli army soldiers stationed near a Jewish synagogue in Ein al-Sultan camp to provide protection to settlers visiting the synagogue.

Forces fired live bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades at residents, who responded by burning tires. Two youth were reportedly shot and injured by live ammunition and transferred to hospital for medical treatment, where their condition was described as moderate. Several others were treated at the scene from tear-gas suffocation.
