Two cargo vessels collide off Greek island, near Turkey
Two cargo vessels collided off the Greek island of Chios near the Turkish coast on Friday.
The Singapore-flagged cargo vessel Potentia with 19 crew members and the Vanuatu-flagged ship ANT with 13 crew collided in the eastern Aegean Sea, nine miles north of Chios, said media sources.
Media pointed out that the ship ANT was carrying a crew of 13 people, including 10 Turks. It had left Alexandria, Egypt, heading to Ukraine.
The Greek authorities deployed seven ships and a helicopter for search and rescue at the site.
