Istanbul: The Turkish Ministry of Health announced 78 people injured in forest fire in Izmir province, southwest of the country.

The Turkish Health Ministry stated in a statement at dawn today, Saturday, that several fires broke out in the forests of the province last Tuesday, and firefighting teams were able to extinguish them using specialized firefighting aircraft, as the area is mountainous and rugged and covered with forests, but strong winds blowing over the area yesterday, Friday, led to the fires igniting again.

The Turkish Health Ministry explained that it sent 10 ambulances and 3 teams from the Medical Rescue Team Unit and many of its medical cadres to rescue the injured and trapped due to the intensity of the fire in those mountainous forests.
