Official Turkish sources announced that Turkish companies intend to implement projects to address the water crisis that Iraq is suffering from.

The Turkish newspaper / Hurriyet / quoted those sources as saying that Turkey and Turkish companies will deal with those issues that include irrigation techniques, infrastructure and technical issues, and the use of scientific methods in irrigation to reduce waste in irrigation operations, while Turkey will continue to supply Iraq with water according to the available quantities.

These sources indicated that Turkey explained to its Iraqi counterparts that the problem does not lie in the amount of water, but in infrastructure problems and problems in usage techniques and old technologies used in irrigation, which leads to wasteful water consumption without justification, as there is no drip irrigation technology.
