The Transport Ministry warned the aggression coalition and its tools in Aden against concluding any agreements to lease the international port of Aden to UAE ports of Abu Dhabi.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Transport considered the conspiracy being hatched by the so-called Southern Transitional Council to lease the port of Aden to the UAE ports of Abu Dhabi, a hostile and illegal act that affects the nation’s sovereignty and capabilities.

It affirmed its rejection of any agreements that would attempt to legitimize the UAE’s occupation of Aden port , noting that any agreements would be illegal, unrecognized, and a hostile act that would affect the sovereignty of the nation and the Yemeni citizen.

The statement said, “The strategic port of Aden is the target of many countries’ ambitions because of its natural advantages and geographical location that are important to international maritime navigation and international shipping lines companies
.”

The statement stated that the UAE’s Dubai Ports, which controlled the port of Aden and worked to paralyze its navigational movement and completely stop it from operating, had previously been expelled from work with the aim of operating the artificial Dubai ports as a maritime navigation route.

The Transport Ministry also confirmed that the Aden port is one of the important Yemeni ports and one of the main seaports in the Gulf of Aden region, and one of the largest natural ports in the world.
