A group of armed Israeli settlers, protected by a military unit, launched a terrorist attack today on the village of Khallet al-Dabaa in the Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. The assault resulted in three Palestinian civilians sustaining injuries, while two others were arbitrarily arrested, according to local sources.

Rateb al-Jubour, a local activist, informed WAFA that dozens of armed settlers broke into the village. The settlers, some of them armed, detained several residents, seized their mobile phones, and proceeded to conduct provocative searches in several homes.

The attack escalated into physical violence, with the settlers brutally assaulting members of the local Dababsa family. Three individuals sustained injuries and bruises during the attack, and were subsequently transported to a hospital in the nearby town of Yatta for medical treatment.

Al-Jubour added that the Israeli occupation forces, instead of intervening to prevent the settler violence, stood idly by, al
lowing the assailants to continue their assault on the village. The soldiers further destroyed the village’s water network, exacerbating the hardships faced by the Palestinian residents.

Furthermore, Israeli forces arrested Mohammad al-Rabai, the head of the village council of the nearby village of al-Tawana, as he attempted to enter the village. Emergency medical vehicles were reportedly prevented from accessing the village by the Israeli forces for some time.
