The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, stressed the importance of international cooperation in the field of combating terrorism.

Zaidan said during his participation in the program for improving the level of international cooperation in prosecutions against ISIS, which is hosted by the International Institute of Justice and the Rule of Law: ‘Terrorist organizations have taken Iraq as an arena for practicing their criminal activity since 2003, so the Iraqi judiciary has had an important role in the field of combating terrorism and “It is necessary to take advantage of the Iraqi ability to collect information, investigate procedures, and prosecute terrorists.”

He added in a recorded speech: ‘We believe that international cooperation is very important to combat terrorism, and without this cooperation, we will not be able to get rid of these terrorist viruses that pose a threat to all countries of the world.’

A judicial delegation is participating in the program, including the Vice Presid
