The Palestinian PM To Visit Baghdad In The Coming Days


The head of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osama Mahdi Ghanem, met with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Baghdad, Ahmed Al-Ruwaidi, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that, during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them were discussed, and the ongoing preparations for the visit of the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Muhammad Mustafa, to Baghdad in the next few days were also discussed. In addition, the recent developments in the Palestinian territories were discussed, as Ghanem expressed the solidarity of the government and people of Iraq with the government and people of Palestine, and denounced the massacres committed by the occupation against innocent, defenseless people.

For his part, the Palestinian ambassador expressed his thanks to the Iraqi government and people for supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, and for receiving the first batch o
f wounded and sick Palestinians to be treated in Iraqi hospitals.
