Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Society was officially launched on Wednesday in Taiz province.

The announcement, made in collaboration with the development team, the Cooperative Union Branch, and Bunyan Development Foundation, was marked by a ceremony attended by key officials.

Abdulwasie al-Shamsi, Undersecretary for Development and Services, highlighted the society’s role as a cornerstone for leveraging local resources to enhance economic and social development.

Abdulkhaleq al-Junaid, Director General and Head of the Development Team, described the society’s launch as a significant step in the agricultural revolution aimed at supporting farmers and promoting self-sufficiency.

Qaid al-Nahhal, Deputy Director General of the Social Affairs Office, praised the society as a result of the September 21 Revolution and a significant achievement in economic and agricultural development.

Al-Nahhal urged the association’s leaders to focus on projects that advance the national economy and reduce reliance on i
mports.

Salem Al-Ahdal from Bunyan Foundation emphasized the importance of cooperative agricultural work in achieving food security and meeting the districts’ development goals.
