NABLUS: Several Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation today during an anti-settlement protest in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that Israeli troops clamped down on the weekly march with live ammunition and tear gas, leading to injuries among participants.

Medical teams provided on-site treatment for those affected by the toxic gas. The town of Beita has faced ongoing violence from Israeli forces and colonists, particularly following the controversial establishment of the Evyatar outpost on local residents’ lands atop Mount Sabih on the outskirts of the town.

This incident follows the murder of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, who was killed by Israeli forces earlier this month while participating in the weekly protest.
