The Capital Sana’a, represented by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, signed on Tuesday a partnership agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital Sana’a to implement sustainable projects in the agricultural, livestock, and fisheries fields in the Sana’a’s directorates.

The agreement stems from the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council, and from the national responsibility to achieve sustainable development and promote the national economy in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.

The agreement includes the implementation of projects in the areas specified in the directorates of the Capital Municipality, which serve the directives of the leadership and the national interest, and the Chamber of Commerce in the Capital Sanaa will be an active partner with the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit in the Municipality in the preparation and coordination in the implementati
on of projects in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and livestock of an economic, marketing and productive nature, funded by the Financing Unit in the Capital Sana’a, and all other productive development activities.

It was agreed to finance the establishment and equipping of three central refrigerators to preserve vegetables and fruits coming from the farms of the districts and governorates, the establishment of an agricultural and fish export station, and fish points of sale with 200 points distributed over the directorates of the Capital Sana’a.

The agreement includes that the financing unit will cooperate and coordinate with the Chamber of Commerce and its various sectors in the implementation of sustainable development and production projects in fish points and slaughterhouses in the various directorates of the Secretariat, and in the agricultural sector such as festivals, conferences, and seminars, and for what makes a qualitative leap in the rehabilitation of cadres in the agricultural and fisherie
s sectors.

The mayor of the capital stressed that food security is one of the top issues of the main issues, which the leader of the revolution, Sayyid. Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, put on the list of concerns.

For his part, Al-Hadi pointed out that achieving food security at the current stage of the war, and the continuation of the blockade imposed on the country, is a joint religious, national, and moral responsibility, starting from those in charge of the economic file in the state, through workers in the agricultural sector, to farms and the private sector, and ending with consumers.

Jamaan and Al-Ansi stressed that the Capital Sanaa – through the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit – will work to implement, finance, or contribute to the implementation of many agricultural projects and initiatives within the framework of the executive matrix of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution to reform the agricultural aspect and promote this important sector to enhan
ce its role in food security.
