Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali and the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, stressed the importance of strengthening national unity and supporting the judicial institution.
The media office of Khazali stated in a statement: “Sheikh Khazali received in his office in Baghdad, today, Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and during the meeting, the latest developments in the political situation and developments in Iraq were discussed.”
The two sides stressed, according to the statement, the importance of strengthening national unity and the solidarity of all political forces to confront current challenges, in addition to working to achieve stability and security in the country, and the importance of supporting the judicial institution, and ensuring the separation of powers.
Sheikh Khazali praised the role played by the President of the Republic in directing the political process towards strengthening national consensus, pointing
to the need to continue dialogue between all parties to achieve the supreme interest of the country.
For his part, President Abdul Latif Rashid praised the efforts of Sheikh Khazali and his role in supporting national issues, stressing the importance of combining joint efforts in order to build a better future for Iraq.
