Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, and Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, stressed today, Saturday, the importance of unifying efforts to confront current challenges and preserve the democratic system.
Sheikh Khazali’s office said in a statement: “Khazali received al-Amiri in his office in Baghdad.”
The statement added, “During the meeting, the most prominent political developments witnessed by the Iraqi arena were discussed, as the two sides stressed the need to unify national efforts to confront current challenges and preserve the democratic system.”
It continued, “The issue of choosing the Speaker of the Council of Representatives was discussed, and the importance of resolving this file in a way that contributes to the stability of the political process and strengthening the unity of the country.”
The two sides pointed out, according to the statement, “the importance of constructive dialogue and joint cooperation at this sensitive stage.”
