The Higher Institute for Health Sciences in Mahweet province has hosted a cultural seminar on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid, peace be upon him.
The event was held under the slogan “Insight and Jihad.”
The seminar focused on the significance of commemorating Imam Zaid’s martyrdom and his resistance against injustice and tyranny.
It highlighted how his stand against the deviation of the nation and the oppression of tyrants serves as a model for continuous mobilization and support for national causes, especially the issue of Palestine.
Dr. Ahmed al-Qahda, Director of the Higher Institute for Health Sciences, discussed Imam Zaid bin Ali’s efforts to revive the values of truth and uphold Quranic teachings.
He emphasized that Imam Zaid’s revolution was a continuation of his grandfather Imam Hussein’s struggle against injustice.
Dr. Khaled al-Qazhi, head of the University Education Unit, underscored the importance of learning from Imam Zaid’s life and revolution.
He spoke about the need to dra
w lessons and morals from Imam Zaid’s efforts to reform the nation and correct its course.
The seminar aimed to inspire attendees to apply these lessons in addressing contemporary challenges and reinforcing the values of justice and righteousness in society.
