Units of the command and personnel of the security and rescue in Hodeida governorate participated in the rescue operations of several affected families stranded in the torrential rains in the governorate.

A team of governorate security personnel led by the deputy director of the governorate’s security, Colonel Sari al-Mughrabi, went to flooded areas participated in rescue operations, and removed the stranded women and children.

On Wednesday, torrential rains from mountainous areas surrounded several areas and homes on the outskirts of Hodeida city and the coastal countryside of the province for the first time in decades.

Local sources said that the floods reached the northern entrance to Hodeidah city, causing severe damage to infrastructure, homes, and agricultural properties, cutting off several roads, and killing dozens in several districts.
