The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance delivered the second batch of cement to support the projects of the Community Initiatives Program in the field of water in Al-Qabbaytah District, Lahj Governorate.

The second batch includes two thousand and 500 bags of cement, and was preceded by the first batch of four thousand bags for water projects approved within the first phase to support 180 tanks of “special waterings”, which were approved by the unit in coordination with the local authority.

During the handover, the representative of the Central Interventions Unit in Taiz and Lahj governorates, Engineer Badr Al-Din Al-Tayyar, explained that the support provided targets areas facing development challenges. He pointed out that the unit not only promotes development through these projects, but also to empower communities and help them towards progress.

The Director of Al-Qabbaytah district, Waheed Al-Khader, praised the support of the Interventions Unit in motivating the
community to adopt initiatives, and the interaction of the people of the Directorate and the community committees in this aspect. He called on the beneficiaries to speed up the implementation of projects so that the next stages of the community initiative project support program are implemented.

Ibrahim Hamim, director of the Department of Community Initiatives in Lahj Governorate, praised the efforts of the Central Interventions Unit in supporting community initiatives, in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council, to bring about a comprehensive development renaissance.
