Sana’a province on Wednesday organized a speech event on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, under the slogan, “Humiliation is far from us.”

In the event, which was organized by the province office, the works offices, the executive unit, the media, and the Yemeni News Agency ‘Saba’, governor’s first undersecretary Hamid Asim stressed the importance of commemorating Ashura, to emphasize the connection of the people of Yemen to the master of the martyrs, Imam Hussein b. Ali, peace be upon them.

He urged us to follow the method, vision, and position through which the Master of Martyrs moved to combat injustice and support truth.

He reviewed moments from the tragedy of Karbala and the oppression to which Imam Hussein was subjected, which is no different from the oppression of the Yemeni people and the aggression against which the Palestinian people are exposed, in light of shameful international, international and Arab silence.

In turn, province advisor Abdullah al-Marwani re
viewed moments from the life of Imam Hussein, his courage and oppression, and his stand in the face of Umayyad tyranny, which sought to obliterate the identity of the Islamic nation from an early time.

He pointed to the conspiracies against the Arab and Islamic nation, by the forces of hegemony and global arrogance. Perhaps the Palestinian people are the most prominent example, as they suffer from a war of genocide, displacement and starvation.
