A meeting in the capital Sana’a, chaired by undersecretary province for the Services Sector Fares al-Quhali, discussed the executive program matrix for ongoing and completed rural electricity projects in the province’s districts for 2024.

The meeting involved the technical team from the General Authority for Rural Electricity and project managers, including Eng. Fouad al-Maqtari (Technical Supervision), Engineer Ibrahim Al-Hakimi (Planning), Engineer Abdulaader Al-Shujaa, and Mohammed al-Rajehi from the Rural Electricity Authority’s branch in Sana’a province.

Discussions focused on the progress of electricity network projects in al-Sahman, Bani Saham, Bani Shaddad, al-Hajr Hantash, as well as the villages in Nihm and Arhab districts.

Achievements in Bani Hashish network project and the development of technical studies to rehabilitate lines in Sabah, Matna, al-Haymah (both internal and external), Saafan, and Haraz were also reviewed.

The meeting emphasized the importance of inventorying and evaluating mate
rials at stalled project sites in Sana’a province and forming field committees for conducting surveys on electricity projects. It was agreed to use a hybrid solar energy system for projects with electric generators.

Financial allocations for field visits to assess the needs of networks in Arhab distrct were approved.

The meeting also decided to inventory available materials at project sites, match them with disbursement orders, coordinate with the local authority in Sana’a Governorate, complete technical and financial clearances, and submit detailed reports on these activities.
