Sa’ada governor Mohammed Awad on Monday inspected the progress of Rahban Lake Project’s second phase.

This phase, led by the Central Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Finance, aims to create a reservoir with a capacity of over 300,000 cubic meters.

Accompanied by Director of the accounting unit Mohsen Gharsan and province advisor Mohammed al-Mutawakel, governor Awad commended the project’s advancement in the site.

Awad noted that the first phase, completed by the general authority for Water Resources in collaboration with the local authority and community initiatives, has already been successful.

He emphasized the project’s significance, highlighting its role in replenishing groundwater and enhancing agriculture in Rahban, al-Abdin, Gharaz, and nearby villages.
