Acting Governor of the Kursk region in southwestern Russia, Alexei Smirnov, announced that air defenses shot down three Ukrainian drones targeting the region.
He called on residents not to approach the wreckage of the drones or touch them if they find them.
Governor of the neighboring Rostov region Vasily Golubev,, also announced at dawn on Wednesday that two drones were shot down in the north of the region without causing any casualties.
Kiev’s forces continue to target the border areas in southwestern Russia with drones and missiles on an almost daily basis, which confirms, according to what President Vladimir Putin announced, the necessity of expanding the scope of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and removing Kiev’s forces from Russian areas within the range of the missiles with which they are trying to strike Russia.
