Russia pledged, today, Thursday, to shoot down any F-16 fighters delivered to Ukraine, stressing that these fighters will have no impact on the war.
Dmitry Peskov, Spokesman for the Russian presidency /Kremlin/, said in press statements, “The number of F-16 fighters will be shot down gradually,” downplaying their impact on the course of military operations and the course of events on the front.
Western media reported earlier that the first “small” batch of American F-16 fighters transferred by NATO countries had arrived in Ukraine.
