The Undersecretary of Hajjah Governorate – Head of the Agricultural Committee, Ibrahim Amer, reviewed the flood damage treatments in Qafl Shammar District.
Amer reviewed the progress of the construction of earth barriers to protect citizens’ homes and properties, and agricultural lands from erosion in a number of areas in the district, and the necessary treatments; In anticipation of facing new floods.
During the visit, the Undersecretary of the Governorate stressed the leadership’s keenness to reclaim damaged agricultural lands, and to put in place appropriate treatments to prevent and reduce flood damage.
The Undersecretary Amer also reviewed the progress of the “Salba Water Canal” in Abs District, its efficiency in transporting water to neighboring agricultural lands, and the extent of its impact by heavy rain floods.
