The Public Works and Roads Office in Hamdan District in Sana’a Province removed 16 violations in a number of Ablas streets during a field campaign to remove new building violations that lasted a week.

The acting director of the Public Works Branch of the district, Engineer Abed Shaya, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the violations that were removed included the removal of stone chairs, a square, fences, reinforced bases, an underground water tank, first-floor columns, a first-floor reinforced building on 14m Street, and a vacant lot.

He stated that the campaign came within the framework of enhancing control to preserve public streets, service facilities reservations, and preventing new developments on vacant lands, stressing the continuation of work to implement legal procedures against violators, to prevent encroachments on public rights.

Engineer Shaya appreciated the cooperation of the security services in the directorate with the campaign, stressing that the removal of new violations wa
s carried out in accordance with legal procedures and regulations governing the building law.
