Registration for National Sports Day 2025 Award Announced


Doha: The National Sports Day Committee announced Wednesday the opening of registration for the National Sports Day 2025 Award, and notified all concerned parties to participate in the award.

The committee said in a statement that data regarding the events will be registered through the website of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, to be evaluated no later than seven days before the month following the event.

The statement indicated that the Ministry of Sports and Youth launched, for the first time in a distinctive and comprehensive initiative, the National Sports Day Award for all government and private entities.

This initiative is in line with the vision of the State Sports Day, which is held based on Amiri Decree No. 80 of 2011.

Participation in the State Sports Day Award will continue until July 31 of next year, where the winning entities from state institutions, the private sector, and commercial companies will be honored during the Sports and Youth Excellence Award ceremony in September 2025.

ahman bin Muslim Al Dosari, Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Youth and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the State Sports Day, confirmed that the award aims to honor government and private entities that contribute to promoting the practice of sports among male and female employees of government and private entities, in appreciation of the efforts made in organizing these events throughout the year.

The Chairman of the State Sports Day Committee called on all ministries, institutions, and private sector companies to quickly register for the State Sports Day Award, so that they can prepare sports events that suit their employees, according to the conditions specified by the Sports Day Committee.

Al Dosari noted in a statement that the award targets all male and female employees of ministries, institutions, and private sector companies, of all age groups, as sports have become a basic requirement for society to change the lifestyle.
