Mecca, The information systems unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission has introduced modifications, features, and additional services to the Hajj application in its sixth version. The application is available through app stores for users of smart devices operating on iOS and Android systems.

This comes within the Qatari Hajj Mission’s commitment to applying the latest global technologies and utilizing all available resources and support means to provide outstanding services to the pilgrims of Qatar, enabling them to perform the Hajj pilgrimage under the best conditions with ease and convenience. It is part of an integrated system in which the efforts of all the mission’s supporting units are combined.

Ghanem Rashid Al Kubaisi, who serves as the head of the information systems unit , said that the application contains important informative and educational guidelines that assist Qatari pilgrims in completing their Hajj rituals easily and facilitate all matters for them, making the pilgrimage a smooth and enjoyable j
ourney. He added that it provides scientific and legal resources such as fatwas, supplications, and information relevant to the pilgrim, along with support and assistance in case of emergencies. Additionally, any non-Qatari pilgrim can benefit from the general information and guidelines provided by the application.

Al Kubaisi added that the application has been extensively updated this season to be a companion for the pilgrim during their journey to perform the rituals. A summary of important health guidelines for the pilgrim and a comprehensive health guide to ensure the safety of the states pilgrims have been added. He noted that the guide was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and the Qatar Red Crescent. It includes guidelines for pre-travel, during the Hajj journey, and post-return from Hajj, along with safety instructions and first aid.

He also said that the application allows the pilgrim to send a message to the Qatari Hajj Missi
ons communication and support unit containing the pilgrims phone number and location on the map to request assistance in normal or emergency situations via WhatsApp or SMS. The data of the Qatari Hajj Mission and all Qatari campaigns in Doha and the holy sites have also been updated.

He confirmed that the application provides a detailed and simplified explanation of how to perform the rituals, many selected fatwas to answer potential questions from the pilgrims, and a package of useful and important guidelines to facilitate the blessed Hajj journey for the pilgrims. The application provides addresses and an interactive map that details the location of Qatari campaigns in Mecca, the ability to know the direction of the Qibla, prayer times, temperature, wind speed, and other services.

He highlighted the availability of educational video clips on the application explaining the Hajj rituals with audio and video, an interactive map of the Grand Mosque that helps the pilgrim know their location relative to the mo
sque and the nearest doors to them, and displays important places such as ablution areas, bus stations, security offices, senior citizen carts, and the lost and found office. Additionally, the application provides a counter to help the pilgrim keep track of the number of Tawaf and Sa’i rounds and a digital rosary for supplications. The application also includes a feature for issuing and printing a Hajj certificate through the campaign system electronically linked to the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. It also offers direct contact through the unified contact and support center to serve Qatari pilgrims, providing assistance and support as quickly as possible and responding to all pilgrims’ inquiries through the specialized units. This is done via a free hotline that allows communication from within Qatar at the number (132), and allows any pilgrim with a Qatari or Saudi line to communicate with the mission from within the holy sites at the number (0125569500
).

Al Kubaisi emphasized that the unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission continues to update electronic systems to serve Qatari pilgrims and facilitate all matters related to their blessed journey.
