Qatar Charity (QC) and UNRWA signed Monday an agreement for US$ 3 million to help deliver lifesaving assistance to people in need in Gaza.
The aid will include food, emergency shelter and healthcare services. In addition to the financial contribution, Qatar Charity (QC) will donate 6,500 food parcels for families in Gaza. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity (QC), underscored the importance of supporting the Palestinian people during this critical time.
He said: “At Qatar Charity, our commitment to alleviating the suffering of vulnerable people in Gaza remains unwavering. This partnership with UNRWA represents another step in providing immediate relief and delivering essential aid to those in need.” “Humanitarian actors are facing severe limitations and delays that hinder much needed aid delivery for Gaza, highlighting the necessity for increased humanitarian access. Ben Majekodunmi, UNRWA Chief of Staff, expressed his gratitude for Qatar Charitys generous support.
