The Prime Minister’s advisor, Torhan Al-Mufti, announced the existence of two proposals to form the local government in Kirkuk.
Al-Mufti said that the first proposal is that the position of governor be held by Kurds, Arabs and Turkmen in rotation, and the second is that the position of governor be held by Kurds and Arabs, and other positions be given to Turkmen.
He added that there will be positive results in the coming days regarding the proposals put forward to form the local government in Kirkuk, explaining that Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani has the authority to take all measures regarding the formation of the local government of Kirkuk, but he wants the solution to this issue to be within Kirkuk itself.. saying that the issue of forming the local government in Diyala was more complicated than it is in Kirkuk, but they were able to overcome the obstacles and form the local government in Diyala
