RAMALLAH: President Mahmoud Abbas has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, on the occasion of his successful re-election for a new term.
“We ask Almighty Allah to grant you success and guide your steps towards achieving your and your people’s aspirations. We are confident that under your new term as President, Egypt will witness further progress and prosperity,” stated President Abbas.
President Abbas took the opportunity to express his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the leadership and people of Egypt for their unwavering support for their Palestinian brethren. He also commended Egypt’s diligent efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
