President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the Arab-China Summit for Cooperation and Development.

The President was received by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman, and the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmad Aboul Gheit.

Several Arab leaders and China’s President Xi Jinping arrived in the Saudi capital yesterday to attend the summit that will run through December 9.

President Abbas was accompanied on his visit by the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein al-Sheikh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad al-Malki, the President’s Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs, Majdi al-Khalidi, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Saudi Arabia, Bassem al-Agha.
