The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) spokesperson, Nibal Farsakh, commended Jordan’s efforts in alleviating the suffering of citizens in the Gaza Strip through its relief and humanitarian efforts, whether sending relief aid or the Jordanian field hospital that hosts those injured by the Israeli occupation attacks.

Farsakh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Farsakh that the tragic humanitarian situation in Gaza is a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip.

She pointed out that the Gaza Strip has not received aid for 50 days after Israeli occupation forces closed the Rafah land crossing and prevented humanitarian and medical aid from entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing. Even the aid that enters through the Karem Abu Salem border crossing is small and does not meet the needs of the people of the Gaza Strip, which has further deteriorated the situation.

The PRCS spokesperson reiterated her call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire to pave the way for the entry of aid and
the reopening of the Rafah crossing and land points without conditions or restrictions.
