The Public Security Department (PSD) affirmed that Election Day represents a national occasion and a symbol of civility, with citizen cooperation being a hallmark of the polling process since early morning.
The PSD noted that a few minor incidents and scuffles occurred outside polling stations, but they were swiftly addressed and did not disrupt the voting process. The Department emphasized the importance of public awareness in avoiding negative behavior or any legal violations.
It reiterated that all actions are being handled in accordance with the law, stressing that authorities are dealing firmly with any infractions that have been attempted throughout the day.
