PM reviews progress of activities of National Committee for Women

Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, on Monday met with Chairperson of the National Committee for Women Ghada Abu Talib, who briefed the premier on the activities of the committee during the past period and its programs for the year 1445 AH.

Abu Talib referred to the most prominent activities of the committee during the past months of this year within the scope of its tasks, including highlighting the extent of the damage that affected Yemeni women throughout the years of aggression and its repercussions on various aspects of her daily life.

She touched on a number of challenges facing the National Committee, which require the support of the National Salvation Government.

The Prime Minister blessed the various work accomplished by the Committee during the current year and its advocacy of Yemeni women’s issues, especially those resulting from the aggression and siege.

The premier pointed out that the role of the Yemeni woman in building the country is no less important than the role of her male brother, stressing the government’s support for the National Committee for Women, its programs and activities, and providing assistance to it to reduce the challenges and difficulties that impede its activity.
