Hamoud al-Naqeeb, Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Sana’a, inaugurated a new afforestation initiative on Friday, targeting median islands in Shu’ub district.

The project, launched on al-Nasr Street, involves planting pomegranate and guava trees, as well as other forestry and ornamental species.

During the inauguration, al-Naqeeb emphasized the importance of utilizing the rainy season for afforestation, aligning with the revolutionary leadership’s focus on agriculture.

The initiative aims to enhance the capital’s greenery, with plans to plant 325 fruit and forestry trees along al-Nasr Street, from the Airport Street intersection to Aya Roundabout.
