A parliamentary source announced the collection of signatures from members of the Council of Representatives to hold an emergency session of Parliament, to host Judge Haider Hanoun, Chairman of the Integrity Commission, and Judge Diaa Jaafar.
The source told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The collection of signatures to hold the session came against the backdrop of what was announced by the Chairman of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, in his press conference held in Erbil today about “weakening the Integrity Commission” and the presence of those who use their powers against it.”
Judge Haider Hanoun spoke sharply and resentfully in a press conference he held in Erbil today, and said: “The Integrity Commission is weakened and Judge Diaa Jaafar must not use his power against us.”
The Council of Representatives demanded that he be hosted along with the Corruption Court Judge Diaa Jaafar.
