Palestinians march in West Bank cities to protest Israeli assassinations, clash with soldiers

Palestinians marched this afternoon in several West Bank cities in protest against the Israeli army assassination of three Palestinian activists in Nablus yesterday and clashed with Israeli soldiers at contact points, according to witnesses.

Marches were reported in Ramallah, Hebron, and Jenin where protesters went to areas where Israeli soldiers were manning checkpoints and clashed with them.

The soldiers fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at the protesters causing suffocation cases.

A general strike was declared today in the West Bank cities in protest against the killings.
