A Palestinian teenager was shot and injured in the head with rubber-coated steel bullets during clashes that broke out this evening in the town of Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that clashes erupted in the town of Abu Dis, during which Israeli forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters toward Palestinian locals, shooting and injuring a 17-year-old teenager in the head with rubber-coated-steel bullets.

The teenage boy was taken to hospital, where his condition was described as moderate.

According to sources, Israeli forces fired at the boy from a very short distance and physically attacked the teen’s parents who tried to prevent the soldiers from detaining their son.
