HEBRON– A Palestinian civilian was shot and injured tonight by an Israeli settler outside the illegal Israeli settlement of Adora, to the west of Hebron city in the south of the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian security sources.
They told WAFA that an armed Israeli settler opened fire at Mohammad Walid Asta, a Palestinian from the town of Tarqumia, lightly injuring him. Asta was inside his vehicle when he was assaulted and shot at, the sources added.
The man was rushed to Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron for medical treatment, where his condition was described as stable.
This was the latest in an ongoing wave of army-backed terror attacks by Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank, which have resulted so far in the injury of many Palestinians and damage to their belongings, including vehicles.
