Gaza: Palestinian human rights organizations condemned in the strongest terms the horrific mass murder committed by the Israeli occupation forces that targeted hundreds of worshipers and displaced persons, killing 97 of them in a school chapel sheltering thousands of displaced men and women in Gaza.

The human rights organizations said in a joint statement on Saturday that the crime is a blatant expression of a declared Israeli policy of continuing to commit this type of horrific crimes after 10 months of the wide military offensive on the Gaza Strip and is the result of the continued policy of impunity and the complicity of some Western countries in the grave violations against the Palestinian people by providing the occupation forces with weapons and munitions with the absence of international will to compel the occupation state to implement the decisions of the International Court of Justice to stop the ongoing genocide crime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The organizations expressed th
eir shock at the scenes of the burned remains of dozens of martyrs that were scattered in the school’s chapel and yard, which indicates that these missiles fired at the school are of the destructive and incendiary type used by the occupation forces in the genocidal war against the Palestinian people.

They pointed out that the occupation’s claim that it uses smart bombs in its military attacks is a false claim and expresses its disregard for the entire world, as it continues to engage in mass killing and offers unfounded justifications that contradict the facts.

“Today we are facing a first-class crime that confirms the occupation’s approach to deliberately committing genocide, with the decision of the political level, to the point that Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, publicly stated that killing two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by starvation may be just and moral to bring Israeli prisoners back from the Gaza Strip,” the organizations added.

The organizations, including the Palestin
ian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), Al Mezan Center, and Al-Haq stressed that the occupation’s repeated justifications for targeting members of the resistance are nothing more than worthless claims, as there is no justification in any way for using such disproportionate and unnecessary force that led to the martyrdom of a large number of civilians and civilians inside a school sheltering displaced people.

The organizations called on the international community to force Israel to stop the crime of genocide, impose a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and oblige it to comply with the decisions of the International Court of Justice to impose temporary measures to prevent the crime of genocide.
