TULKAREM: A child from the town of Bal’a, east of Tulkarem, succumbed tonight to critical injuries he sustained by Israeli forces’ live bullets about two weeks ago.

Local sources from Bal’a told WAFA correspondent that during a visit to his grandfather’s house in the town of Meithalun, south of Jenin, 13-year-old Saif Zeyad Ali Omair was struck in the chest by Israeli soldiers’ bullets and critically injured.

Omair was transferred to a hospital in Nablus for medical treatment, where his condition was described as serious. Doctors announced his death this evening.

On July 11, Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Meithalun, leading to the outbreak of confrontations; during which a teenager, 15, was killed and four others, including Omair, were injured.

The killing of Omair brings up the number of people killed by Israeli forces in Tulkarem Governorate today to six. Five citizens, including a woman and her daughter, were killed in the Tulkarem camp earlier today.
