The Ministry of Electricity and Energy opened on Monday the envelopes of expressions of interest documents by local and foreign investors to participate in the financing, implementation, operation, maintenance, and transfer of ownership in bot power generation projects.
During the receipt of the documents, the Technical Committee for the Management of Expression Requests praised the interaction of local and foreign investors in financing and implementing projects of generating electric power under the build-operate-transfer system “BOT”.
The committee edited the minutes of the announcement and proof of applicants under the expression of interest document from local and foreign investors to participate in the implementation, financing, operation, maintenance, and transfer of ownership in the “BOT” projects No. (1) for the year 1445 AH / 2024 AD, represented by the two projects “Ras Katneeb 90 MW Power Plant and 60 MW Fifty Generating Station in Hodeidah Governorate”.
The envelopes were opened according to t
he legal and professional procedures followed, in the presence of officials of the applicant companies, according to the date specified in the second extension announcement issued on Wednesday 1 Safar 1446 AH corresponding to 7/7/2024 AD.
According to the committee, six investors attended and handed over the envelopes of documents and data.
