Baghdad, Newsweek magazine reported, citing its sources, that US Vice President Kamala Harris topped the list of contenders for the Democratic Party nomination to run in the upcoming presidential elections.
The article indicated that the possibility of Ms. Harris’ nomination is 45%. At the same time, the chances of current US President Joe Biden’s nomination are estimated at less – 40%.
Meanwhile, the Axios website wrote, citing high-level Democratic officials, that Biden will be forced to withdraw from the presidential race at the end of this week.
Earlier, the American media agreed that President Joe Biden’s performance in the debate that brought him together with former President Donald Trump was “catastrophic”, and that the Democratic Party should sound the alarm.
American politicians and media are increasingly talking about the possibility of replacing Biden’s nomination with another candidate, and Vice President Kamala Harris is considered the most likely to become the Democratic candidate.
