Official and private national channels broadcast the unified program “Muhammad is the Messenger of God” to accompany the celebrations of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary (PBUH).
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information for Radio and Television Sector Yahya Hamid told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the program broadcasted on “Yemen Satellite, Aden, Saba, Al-Iman, Al-Masirah, Al-Sahat, Yemen Today” channels and lasted for an hour and a half.
He added that the program aims to highlight official and popular interaction and enhance community awareness.
He urged the community to expand participation in the centralized events to commemorate the Prophet’s birthday.
Hamid pointed out that the unified program also highlighted the Arab and Islamic peoples’ commemoration of this occasion, which unites all members of the nation , emphasizes their unity , the diversity of their traditions and cultural practices.
He pointed out that the program includes local field segments about the
interaction with this occasion in the province and hosting personalities from them, in addition to focusing on the celebration of this anniversary in an Islamic country and linking with guests from that country via Skype.
