The General Authority for Rural Water in Ibb province has officially launched Najd al-Onsur water project in al-Mashnah district, with a budget of $65,000 funded by the International Medical Corps.

During the launch event, attended by province undersecretary Harith Al-Maliki and director of the authority’s branch Majid al-Shami, the focus was on the project’s aim to rehabilitate existing water infrastructure and introduce an integrated solar energy system.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance access to clean water for citizens amid ongoing challenges faced by the country.

Al-Shami highlighted the importance of rural water projects, emphasizing their role in meeting the essential water needs of communities, especially in remote areas severely impacted by conflict and blockade.

He acknowledged the critical support from humanitarian partners like the International Medical Corps, which has been instrumental in funding various projects across the province.

Local residents expressed their gra
titude for the project, noting its significance in easing their struggles with accessing clean drinking water from distant sources.

This project marks a vital step toward improving living conditions in the region, ensuring that essential water services are available to those in need.
