Najaf, Najaf Police denied an attempt to assassinate the head of the investigation agency for crimes related to the cronies of the former regime near Najaf Al-Ashraf Airport.
Najaf police media said in a statement that the governorate police command denies the post circulating on social media pages about an assassination attempt to (the head of the investigation agency for crimes related to the cronies of the former regime) near Najaf airport, indicating that the police command reserves its legal right to prosecute anyone who publishes such news.
It called on all media outlets and social networking sites not to publish misleading news and to verify the information before publishing it.’
