Amman: The Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) and the American University of Madaba (AUM) on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance joint cooperation in outlining scientific research, exchanging expertise and conducting periodic training lectures for students enrolled in stock market majors.

The memo, signed by the JSC Chairman, Dr. Adel Bino, and the AUM President, Dr. Mamoun Akroush, aims to spread awareness of the stock market, its local and global legislation, and international practices for university students by attracting experts to teach “practical” courses on the capital market at the university’s headquarters.

The memo also aims to kick off cooperation in holding training, workshops, seminars and scientific conferences for AUM’s students, exchanging publications, periodicals and scientific research, according to a joint statement.

Under the MoU, the university students are given an opportunity to present and benefit from new financial ideas, especially on fin-technology,
aimed to stimulate their capabilities in this field.

Additionally, the two sides launch technical expert cooperation, while the JSC provides educational packages on the stock market to disseminate financial culture among the AMU’s students.
